Division of Whirlwind Wheelchair Expands ActiveOffice Application

The Assistive Technology Research (ATR) Division of Whirlwind Wheelchair International needed an ActiveOffice system to aid their research on wheelchair and rehabilitative technologies.  The system had to be accessible globally and required a multilingual component.  

ActiveOffice designed a tool that provides training and assistance in seven languages, and developed a secure access website to provide access to information related to assistive technologies in resource-limited environments.  The secure access area coordinates research data related to the ATR project and imports information from a third party software.  

We at Digital Active are proud to work with Whirlwind Wheelchair and commend the ATR division for its work to aid people in need of assisted technology.

The ATR division was established to conduct research on the provision of assistive technology (AT) devices and services in the developing world. Its research focuses on developing countries and other resource-limited environments within developed countries.
